Our Marius® turtleneck wool sweater in a unisex model is knitted from 100% Norwegian wool, and designed to keep you warm and comfortable whether you are in the forest, mountains, or by the sea. The Marius sweater is Norway's most popular knitted sweater. The traditional pattern was designed by Unn Søiland Dale in 1953 when she was working on making sweaters for the ski film "Troll i Ord". War hero and skier Marius Eriksen plays a handsome ski instructor in the film, and the Marius sweater was an immediate success. The sweater originates from the Setesdal pattern, and is today considered Norway's national sweater.
