Icelandic Zip

The Islender is our most popular model, made from 100% Norwegian wool with a high neck and zip. The sweater has a fleece lining in the neck. Islender is a Scandinavian term for a thick work sweater or a thick wool sweater, and has been used by workers and fishermen for generations. Traditionally, the work sweater was made in white with a black pattern. The name Islender most likely originates from Icelandic companies that connected the coastal communities of the North Sea through trade and shipping.
