The "Islender" (Icelandic sweater) is our most popular model, made from 100% Norwegian wool. Our Islender model features a high neck with a zip and soft fleece on the inside of the collar. This is the wool sweater for those who demand high levels of warmth and durability for hiking or outdoor work. Islender is a Scandinavian term for a thick work sweater that has been used by workers and fishermen for generations. Traditionally, the sweater was made in white with a black pattern. The name Islender most likely originates from the Icelandic company that connected coastal communities around the North Sea through trade and shipping.
